LEGO® is popular around the entire world. In our first episodes of meet our fans we introduced fans from the United States of America and Canada. LEGO® has a huge fan base in Europe as well of course and in this episode we meet Volker Jacke, a passionate LEGO® fan and builder of stunning LEGO® trucks and other vehicles
ToyPro: Thank you for participating in our series meet our fans. How did your passion for LEGO® start?
Volker: My passion for LEGO® already started in my childhood and being a parent myself of a son, the passion for LEGO® rekindled.
ToyPro: What are your favorite sets and builds?
Volker: My favorites are American trucks, vehicles like the Volkswagen Bulli, Karmann Ghia and other types of forgotten vehicles. I have always tried to equip my created models with technical refinements, like LEGO® trucks with an on and off third axle or a fire brigade T1 Bulli with fully functional aerial ladder and steering. I was also asked to build the Volkswagen Ghia from Vibor Kavor. This was a really big challenge as I had only photos from LEGO® Ideas as a model. You can see the result below.

ToyPro: What is your current project?
Volker: I am currently working on a Volkswagen T2 Camper and a 1973 Winnebago Chieftain Camper from the TV series the Walking Dead.
ToyPro: How do you get your inspiration for MOCs?
Volker: For MOCs I build something that catches my eyes, like the 1973 Winnebago Chieftain Camper, or ideas suggested by friends.

ToyPro: Why do you choose for ToyPro for your LEGO® parts?
Volker: I choose for ToyPro because of its big assortment of LEGO® parts. Not all the LEGO® stores have all LEGO® bricks that I need in stock and ToyPro often does.
ToyPro: Do you have a tip for our readers?
Volker: I would advise others to really investigate the original model in close detail before you start building a model with LEGO®. This really pays of when you are building a LEGO® MOC. If you would like to view more LEGO® builds by Volker Jacke, you can find them on his website.
