LEGO® accessories as Christmas presents: six practical surprises
06 October 2026
What do you give at Christmas to someone who loves building with LEGO®, but whose entire collection you don’t know off by heart? LEGO® accessories are a great choice. You can tap into someone’s hobby whilst giving them something that’ll come in handy away from the building table too. Think of a glow-in-the-dark keyring, a notebook for new building plans or handy tools for tidying up the bricks.
In the range of LEGO® accessories at ToyPro, you’ll find all sorts of gift ideas for the festive season. Below, we’ve put together six practical surprises. Perfect for under the Christmas tree, as a surprise gift or as an extra treat to go with a larger present.
A small Christmas gift with character: LEGO® LED key rings
A gift becomes more personal when it suits the recipient. For a space enthusiast, the blue Spaceman is a classic choice. Does someone prefer to spend their time in the kitchen over the festive season? Then the Gourmet Chef is the perfect match. This way, you can choose two very different gifts from within the same range of accessories.
LEGO® LED Keychain Lights have lights in their feet. You can switch the lights on using the button on the keyring. The movable arms and legs give the figures their playful look, whilst the keyring can be attached to a bag or set of keys.
Good to know: these are larger keyring figures. The figure is attached to the keyring and is not intended as a separate minifigure for a build.
LEGO® stationery for wish lists and building ideas
Some building projects start with a handful of bricks. Others start with a drawing of a castle that ultimately turns out not to fit anywhere in the house. For the latter category, a notebook makes a welcome gift.
The LEGO® Minifigures Notebook features a cover with minifigures and comes with a LEGO® gel pen. The cover features a 4 x 6 stud LEGO® plate, to which you can attach the pen. The notebook can be used for notes, sketches, wish lists or an overview of future building projects.
The pack containing three LEGO® highlighters is a fitting addition. The pens are orange, yellow and azure blue, and each has a 2 x 4 stud LEGO® plate. This allows you to attach them to a suitable LEGO® surface. Great for school, at home or on a desk that could do with a splash of colour.
To complete your school accessories, you’ll of course also need a LEGO® pencil case. This is perfect for carrying all your LEGO® stationery.
Fancy putting together your own gift set? Then combine the notebook with the highlighters and write on the card: “For all the creations that don’t quite fit on the table yet.” That way, you’ll immediately give the gift a purpose.
Handy accessories for after building
New LEGO® gifts often result in new piles of bricks during the Christmas holidays. A good storage solution comes in handy then. Small accessories and favourite pieces, in particular, tend to get lost more easily when everything ends up in one big bin.
The LEGO® Sorting Box Harry Potter has several compartments for organising bricks, minifigures and accessories. The lid features Harry Potter and the box closes with a locking clip. A practical gift for someone who likes to keep a selection of parts together or take them with them.
The LEGO® Brick SCOOPer Set Blue/Red, on the other hand, helps with collecting and moving loose bricks. The set consists of a large blue scoop, a smaller red scoop and a brick separator. This makes it a great addition to a building area where, after every building session, there’s a whole shop full of parts left on the table.
Which LEGO® accessory suits your recipient best?
When choosing, focus on how someone engages with their hobby. A fan who likes to show off their favourite theme might enjoy a keyring. For someone who draws a lot or makes building plans, stationery is a good choice. A builder who regularly sorts parts, on the other hand, will find storage accessories particularly useful.
