Thena is the warrior of the community of genetically engineered Eternals who came to Earth. She was banished from the team, along with her de-facto partner Gilgamesh, for suffering from Mahd Wy'ry.
In 2023, Thena was living with Gilgamesh in exile in Australia, when their fellow Eternals arrived to reform the team to stop the Emergence. Thena continued to suffer from her Mahd Wy'ry, and it soon became clear that this was caused by her previous memories of other worlds, as she subconsciously knew that Earth was doomed. Thena agreed to help the others stop the Emergence. After Gilgamesh was killed by him, she developed a hatred for the Deviant Kro and wanted revenge. While fighting the treacherous Ikaris, Thena took on Kro and killed him, as revenge for Gilgamesh. After they prevented the rise, Thena, along with Druig and Makkari, traveled into space on the Domo, searching for other Eternals.
