There is nothing more annoying than being sick and staying in hospital, so a little flower in the hospital room can make it a little cosier. But what if you are not allowed to have flowers in your room?
Erasmus MC's haematology department houses patients with benign and malignant diseases of blood, bone marrow and lymph nodes. These patients have a low resistance and can get inflammations quickly.
This is why they are not allowed to have flowers in their rooms. Unfortunately, these patients are sometimes in hospital for a very long time. Often it is not just about chemotherapy or radiotherapy, but also transplants. We would like to offer these patients something extra. Togheter with PATIO.
LEGO® flowers are a nice alternative to brighten up the room a little during the hospital stay. By assembling the LEGO® set yourself, the patient is distracted from being ill for a while. It can also be a nice topic of conversation with visitors. The flower can be taken home upon discharge from hospital.
