Flower donation to Erasmus MC

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our ToyPro customers, we were able to donate as many as 120 larger LEGO flower sets and 16 bunches of LEGO® flowers to the patients of Erasmus MC's haematology department. This took place on World Cancer Day, 4 February.

We would like to thank you tremendously! This special flower journey started at ToyPro and took us to Rotterdam, where we were warmly welcomed by the dedicated volunteers of PATIO. PATIO is a unique patient information centre that is there for everyone dealing with cancer, whether the patient themselves or their loved ones. The PATIO team, made up of professionals and volunteers, offers a listening ear and support based on their own experiences.

In the haematology department, real flowers cannot be received because of the risk of infection in patients with weakened immune systems. LEGO® flowers were therefore an excellent alternative to still be able to put flowers in the rooms. Your contribution brought joy and colour to the rooms. ToyPro personally handed the first set to a patient. Of course, all other long-term patients also received beautiful flowers yesterday thanks to you. All patients were genuinely happy that so many people thought of them and wanted to make this wonderful donation.
