LEGO® Island Xtreme Stunts: A look back at an iconic theme

In the early 2000s, LEGO released one of its most unique and dynamic themes: "Island Xtreme Stunts". This series, which grew out of the popular LEGO Island video games, combined action, stunts and colourful characters in a tropical setting full of adventure. With protagonist Pepper Roni, a skateboarding pizza hero, it was all about performing daring stunts to protect the island from the villain Brickster.
The sets excelled in creativity and playfulness. Think stunt planes, jet skis, skate parks, stunt cars and even a media centre. They perfectly matched the early 2000s atmosphere: energetic, upbeat and brimming with attitude. The theme was short but sweet, with a dozen sets released between 2002 and 2003.
Reliving Island Xtreme Stunts with individual LEGO parts
Although the original sets are no longer available new, you can rebuild them surprisingly well with loose LEGO parts. Thanks to ToyPro's extensive stock, you can bring your favourite Island Xtreme Stunts scenes to life yourself. Here are some tips to get started:
1. Decide which set you want to recreate

3. Use alternatives if something is not available
Some prints or unique parts are hard to find. Fortunately, with a little creativity, you can find an equivalent replacement. For example:
- Use a standard black skateboard instead of a printed version.
- Replace old helmet designs with modern stunt helmets.
- Build your own stunt camera with loose bricks and clip parts.
4. Make your own modern Xtreme version
For a creative twist, you can also create a 'remix': use the building style of Island Xtreme Stunts but with new parts and colours. Add minifigures from the LEGO City Stuntz theme, for example, for a fresh mix of retro and modern.
5. Add the minifigures
Pepper Roni, The Brickster and the other islanders have become cult heroes. Although original figures are rare, you can combine individual parts (such as torsos, legs, hair pieces) to make lookalikes. Search ToyPro for torsos with prints, skater hair or sunglasses to approximate the mood.
