Create your own Brick Sketch with this free online tool

Yesterday you could read about the new theme Brick Sketches, with which you can build 3D paintings out of LEGO®. The first 4 sets from this theme are very nice, but how cool would it be to design your own Brick Sketch and then build it yourself. In this blog we explain how you can do this.

Upload your photo and convert it to LEGO® style

Go to the free Lunapic editor. Then upload the photo of which you want to make a LEGO® painting. After this, choose LEGO® Style in the top menu "Effects". That looks like this.

Now you have your sketch that you can build with LEGO®. You probably don't exactly have LEGO® bricks in the image colors, but that's okay. Just choose the colors that are closest to your image. It is important that you consistently use the same colors, otherwise your LEGO® artwork can become very messy. Try adding extra layers in the painting, such as a nose, in real life. This creates the 3D effect that you also see with the Brick Sketches sets.
