What is the most powerful battery for LEGO® engines?

Which battery you choose to power your LEGO® engine can make a big difference. If you choose a higher voltage battery, you'll have good performance in the beginning, but lose quality relatively quickly. A battery with a lower voltage gives slightly less power in the beginning, but on the other hand loses quality less quickly. Sariel wanted to know what the most powerful battery is and therefore compared the standard Duracell, the standard Eneloop and the Ansmann battery in the following video:

Sariel compares the performance of the batteries by measuring the speed of the Control+ L motor, RC Buggy motor, and the new LEGO® 42124 set in combination with the batteries. As you can see in the video, the Ansmann battery emerges as the winner in all three tests. So if you want to give your LEGO® Technic set more endurance power, Ansmann batteries are the best choice.
