The BuWizz motor versus the LEGO® RC Buggy motor: which one is the best?

The name Sariel will not sound unfamiliar to many of our readers. This LEGO® fanatic is completely at home with LEGO® Technic and regularly makes cool creations with it. He also tests and compares different LEGO® Technic products with each other, so you can better know which product fits your construction. Today we will tell you about his comparison between the BuWizz motor and the LEGO® RC Buggy Motor.

In the video, Sariel pits the 2021 BuWizz Motor and the 2002 LEGO® RC Buggy Motor against each other in different areas. He does this by looking at the dimensions, the weight, the connections, the colours, the speed, the torque and of course the price. In short, after watching this video, you will know everything about both motors and therefore also about which motor would best suit your project. That is very handy and smart!

The video shows that the motors are quite similar in many areas. They have almost the same dimensions, weight and torque. In other areas, however, there are clear differences. Sariel's tests show that the BuWizz motor is a bit faster than the LEGO® RC Buggy Motor. The BuWizz motor, with a current retail price of € 29, is only half the price of the Buggy Motor. The BuWizz motor can also be connected to the same devices as the LEGO® RC Buggy Motor. Based on Sariel's comparison, the BuWizz motor seems to be the better option of the 2.
