The LEGO®21327 is a set from LEGO®Ideas. The moment a LEGO® creation gets 10,000 votes from other LEGO® fans, the idea is considered for an official LEGO® set. The designers of the LEGO®21327 took Steve Guinness' original idea and added some technical features. Interestingly enough, they did not take this from one specific model. The designers of the LEGO® Ideas team were inspired by some typewriters borrowed from a colleague who is a big fan of typewriters!

So this LEGO® Typewriter has some very clever and realistic features. For example, you can press all the keys and you get a real ticking sound with each press. Also, the hammer of the typewriter goes up and down when you press a key and the back moves along from left to right. Finally, the set comes with a letter from the current owner of LEGO®, which you can actually place in the typewriter. This makes it look like you typed it yourself!
