Bow before Bowser, or feel my wrath! The biggest LEGO Bowser yet, built from as many as 2,807 pieces. LEGO® Super Mario™ The Mighty Bowser™ building set is a highly detailed recreation of the King of the Koopas, complete with controllable movements and even the ability to launch a fireball.
The set is the latest product of the unique LEGO and Nintendo partnership, which launched in 2020. The adult line includes a series of Super Mario-themed building sets, each designed to evoke nostalgia in LEGO fans who remember Mario as a staple of their childhood. Previous products include a buildable LEGO® Nintendo Entertainment System™ (NES) and the iconic block with levels from the game Super Mario™ 64 inside. The Bowser figure, part of the "Adults Welcome" series, has long been anticipated by LEGO fans who want to challenge themselves with a detailed set that truly evokes fond memories of the past.
Bowser as we know him was conceived in 1985 by Nintendo employee Takashi Tezuka, among others. He found that Bowser, unlike the ox originally intended, resembled a turtle. Thus, Tezuka and Nintendo came up with the idea of crowning him the leader of the turtle race called "Koopas.
Whether fans buy LEGO Super Mario The Mighty Bowser to build, play with or display, the moveable figure uses newly designed elements to mimic the look of Bowser's spines. In addition to a fireball launcher and a button to move Bowser's head and neck, his mouth, arms, legs, and tail will also be movable, allowing fans to recreate the fearsome character of the Koopa King they know and love.
Fans who own a LEGO Super Mario Starter can choose to take on Bowser with LEGO Mario, Luigi, or Peach. But beware, Bowser is armed with a fireball and is not afraid to fight back!
The addition of LEGO Super Mario The Mighty Bowser is truly a blast from the past for many Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs). He may be the big boss, but he still brings back a warm feeling of nostalgia to adult Super Mario fans around the world. Just as defeating Bowser was always the ultimate challenge in the Super Mario games, we challenge you to build the King of the Koopas from nearly 3,000 pieces.
If all these pieces are a bit too much for you, we have a 2D version of Bowser for you. This structure of about 60cm high is slightly less challenging to build and looks very nice.
