About Mareep

Mareep is a sheep-like Pokémon with fluffy cream-coloured wool all over his body and a curly tuft of wool in the middle of his head. Its head is blue and it has black eyes. His four legs are blue and have two fingers on each foot, and he always seems to be walking on his toes. His conical ears and tail have a yellow-black striped pattern. Mareep has an orange orb at the end of its tail, which acts like a small light bulb. This bulb glows brighter the more electricity it has. Mareep's wool constantly grows and stores electricity, by rubbing together and building up a static charge. Its volume increases as it builds up with electricity. If you touch the wool when it is charged, you get a static shock. In summer, the fur falls out, but it grows back within a week. His fur also stores air, keeping him cool in summer and warm in winter. It tends to avoid battles in the wild. In the Pokémon world, Mareep is usually found in grassy fields, although it can also be found on farms where its wool is used for high-quality clothing.
