Get in the mood for the Olympic Games in Japan with these 3 cool LEGO® MOCs!

Soon it will finally be time again for the Summer Olympics. After the Games had to be postponed for a year because of the coronavirus, the big sports event will start on 23 July 2021. This time it is already the 32nd edition and this year it will take place in the Japanese capital Tokyo. Therefore, we at ToyPro thought it would be a good idea to get into the Olympic mood with a few cool Japanese LEGO® MOCs!

LEGO® Tokyo Tower
First up is one of the most famous buildings in the Japanese capital, Tokyo Tower! This LEGO® MOC consists of 307 parts and is about 30 centimetres high, in contrast with the 333 metres the tower actually stands for. This makes the Tokyo Tower the second highest tower in Japan after the Tokyo Skytree, which is almost twice as high!

LEGO® Japanese pagoda
The second MOC is a Japanese pagoda, also called a tō. This is a typical Buddhist building that can be found in many Asian temples. These towers are used for all kinds of things, from grave monument to garden decoration. The LEGO® version contains 625 parts and looks exactly like a real Japanese pagoda!

LEGO® Torii Gate
The final Japanese LEGO® building we have chosen is the traditional Torii gate. This gate, which literally means birdseye in Japanese, is seen as the separation between the profane and the sacred. When you walk through this gate, you enter sacred ground and so these gates are often found at temples. This LEGO® MOC consists of 220 parts and therefore doesn't take too long to build.
