Would you like to light up your LEGO® building with our Lightailing lighting sets, but don't know what to expect from the installation process or are you curious how to get started? Then in this article we will show you how it works and how you can install these LEGO® lights without any problems.
To start with, you will of course need a LEGO® set in which you want to install the lights and the associated Lightailing LED Kit. For this example, we chose a Christmas set: Santa's visit (10293) with accompanying Lightailing Led Kit (LGK469).

The easiest thing to do is to build the full LEGO® set first. Have you already done this? Great, you can already move on to the next step!

Now we take out the lighting set. First check that the lighting works. This has obviously been done in the production process but it's better to make sure everything works before you start the installation. It would be a shame if you finish and a light doesn't work, then you have to remove and install everything again.

Now the real work begins. The instruction booklet shows with different icons what to do at that particular step. We've listed them all for you:

Mostly it starts with partially disassembling the set. The manual shows exactly with pictures where to take the LEGO® set apart in order to easily install everything.

This is followed by installing the lighting. Because the lights are fitted in original LEGO® bricks, you can easily snap them on, and in some cases replace a LEGO® brick with one in which the lights are fitted. An example of this in this set are the candles on the fireplace.

If wires are to be run between slabs or tiles always take great care to lay them between the studs to avoid cable breakage.

Have you gone through all the installation steps then only one thing remains and that is to connect the lights to the USB battery box and if it is the case as with this set, connect the remote control module. You are now all set and now you can start enjoying your illuminated LEGO® set.
