Rims, tyres and axles

Are you also a fan of LEGO cars? Then you probably recognise this problem: which tyre fits which rim? Especially if you build your own LEGO model cars, it can be a challenge to find the right size tyres and rims. That includes a matching axle for your suspension. And, for the finishing touch, a set of nice hubcaps.

To make it easy, we have listed the matching parts for all kinds of wheels. It's easy to find! Especially if you are still missing a tyre or rim. The table below lists all kinds of wheels. In most cases, your wheel consists of a separate rim and tyre. In a few cases, the wheel is a complete (fixed) combination of rim and tyre.

Lego is the largest tyre manufacturer in the world. On an annual basis, the toy giant produces a whopping 318 million mini tyres. That makes 870,000 per day! This gives Lego a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. The Lego factory operates 24 hours and 365 days a year and always has the tyres in the production process. Meanwhile, the number of Lego wheels runs into the billions. In fact, the tyres have been made since 1962. The smallest Lego wheel has a height of 14.4 mm. The largest wheel measures 10.7 cm and was once produced for the so-called Power Puller from 2000.
