Part 44302 is a locking hinge plate (1 x 2) with two fingers. This part exists in variants with 9 or 7 "teeth" in the click mechanism. In practice, this does not detract from its construction: both variants click and lock neatly into fixed positions and fit the corresponding hinge half (e.g. 44301).
