The raised plate was introduced in August 2021. The plate has a height of 2/3, where the regular, non-raised plate has a height of 1/3. Due to the cutouts at the bottom, this LEGO part appears to stand on 4 legs. This allows this brown plate to be connected to a "regular" plate via the bottom.
