Professor Lupin is a teacher of Defense Against the Black Arts at the wizarding school Hogwarts. However, Remus Lupin is also a werewolf, bitten by the Death Eater Fenrir Vaalhaar, which made it difficult for him to find work due to the prejudices prevalent in the wizarding world.
