General Vex was originally a formling who did not find his animal form. After he was exiled from his tribe, he wandered across the Never-Realm for years, before finally coming across Zane. He deleted his memories, and convinced him that Zane was the rightful Ice Emperor. After Zane came to power he manipulated the emperor into attacking the formlings, thus getting revenge on his former tribe.
