Create an underwater world

Dive into the deep end with this fun idea! The great thing is that you can also put this idea up as a decoration. By using gel balls, the fish and minifigure look like they are swimming. It's a change from a goldfish in a bowl and there's no need to feed them.
How do you make this?
In the vase (this can of course be any other thing made of glass or plastic, as long as you can see through it) make a nice little scene out of LEGO® at the bottom. On this you can pour the gel balls. The gel balls are also called waterbeads. These hard little balls can absorb a lot of water, after which they become gel balls. Before you start, make sure the balls are completely filled with water. To get the best effect of swimming fish and figures, it is important that they are fairly large gel balls, about 1.5 to 2 cm in diameter. The larger the balls, the easier it will be to see through them when the structure is completely finished later.
Placing swimming figures
Fill the vase with the gel balls up to where you want the water to be. Next, place the "swimming objects". You can place these at the height you like. They stay firmly between the balls so you can position them nicely. If you now fill the vase or container with water, you will see that the figures seem to float in the water.
