BTS Dynamite set

Light it up! with the latest LEGO set - a tribute to global pop icons - BTS. The LEGO Ideas BTS Dynamite set (21339), designed by a LEGO fan, features the seven-piece band on the video set of their worldwide smash-hit single "Dynamite," which upon its release in August 2020 reached more than 100 million views in less than one day and one billion views in just eight months, and even earned the band their first number one single in the United States.

Sing the night away as you build this 749-piece LEGO set and discover all the LEGO recreated details that reflect scenes from the iconic music video. You can now combine karaoke sessions at home with LEGO building and immerse yourself in a world of disco, donuts and dynamic dance moves. This new set embodies the band's creative expressions and includes the iconic buildings from the music video: The donut store, ice cream truck and record store. Each building is completely detachable from the set, making it easy to play with or display. But the set would not be complete without the world's biggest South Korean boy band - now available in LEGO minifigure form for the first time. All seven minifigures of the band members - RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook - are ready to sing and dance in sync on the LEGO stage.

This LEGO Ideas set was conceived by LEGO fans and friends Josh of 20 from Indiana, and Jacob of 21 from New York. Combining their love of BTS and passion for LEGO building, they worked together to bring the set to life. About their process, Jacob said, "Josh did the building and design work, and as a huge BTS fan, I told him what should be in it, what details were most important. It was a really fun process". Josh continued and said, "Jacob had the knowledge of BTS, and he was able to direct my building process the right way. I watched the music video over and over and tried to capture its essence in the LEGO bricks. It was insane when the project went viral online overnight."

Speaking about the development of the set, Federico Begher, head of the LEGO Product Group, said, "When we saw Josh and Jacob's colorful design we knew it was going to be a hit and that was proven by how quickly they reached 10,000 views in the LEGO Ideas vote. BTS fans already got behind the design, so it was important to stay as true to the original creation as possible. The set emphasizes creativity, passion and above all fun! We can't wait to see fans build and display it."
