Walter (Walt) Elias Disney (December 5, 1901 - December 15, 1966) was an American illustrator, film producer, screenwriter, voice actor, animator and a philanthropist. Disney became best known for his innovations in animated films. Even today, Disney is one of the best-known film producers in the world. Disney won an Oscar several times. These included an honorary Oscar for the first creation of Mickey Mouse in 1932.
Disney and its employees created some of the world's best-known characters, in addition to Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Disney was not only the spiritual father of this Mickey Mouse, but he also voiced the original voice of the character.
