Create a LEGO® Minecraft diorama

Create a LEGO® Minecraft diorama

We have another fun diorama for you. This time one from the Minecraft world. This nice scene is made on a base of 18 x 18 studs. Because of the edge around the diorama of 1 stud, the final construction has a size of 16 x 16 studs. This makes it a nice compact model which you can nicely exhibit.

This Diorama may look simple, but it represents the Minecraft world perfectly. Because the world in Minecraft consists of blocks, it is easy to translate it to LEGO®. Hachiroku24 made an amazing construction and we want to thank him very much for sharing it with us. And do you want to see more Dioramas? Take a look at the YouTube channel of hachiroku24, there are many more videos with great diorama ideas.

About Minecraft

LEGO® Minecraft is a theme based on the sandbox video game Minecraft. The theme was first introduced in 2012. The game was created by Markus Persson. After some early testing, it was first made public in May 2009 before being fully released in November 2011, with Notch stepping down and Jens Bergensten taking over development. Minecraft has since been made available for various platforms and is the best-selling video game of all time, with more than 238 million copies sold and nearly 140 million monthly active users as of 2021.

In Minecraft, players explore a blocky, procedurally generated 3D world with nearly infinite terrain, and can discover and extract resources, create tools and items, and build structures, earthworks and simple machines. Depending on the game mode, players can fight against computer-controlled mobs, but also cooperate with or compete against other players in the same world. Game modes include a survival mode, where players must acquire resources to build the world and maintain their health, and a creative mode where players have unlimited resources and access to flights. Players can customize the game to create new game mechanics, items and resources.

Because the game is so popular and the game world is made up of blocks, Mojang (the game's publisher) was able to easily bring a first set to market through the LEGO® CUUSOO program. The first Micro-World set was released on 6 June 2012. Minifigure sized LEGO sets were then later announced in 2014. The first group of 6 minifigure scale sets, including First Night, Mine, Ender Dragon, Crafting Box, Farm and Cave, were released from November to December 2014. There are still many Minecraft sets being added each year, and it looks like this will continue for the foreseeable future due to the popularity of the game.
