Improve your LEGO® MOC

Are you planning to create your own LEGO® build or maybe you are already working on one. Either way then check out this video from Coconut Bricks Studios, because in this video they show six different building techniques that are sure to come in handy and make your own LEGO® creation look even better.

As you can see in the video, the first technique is very nice for making round shapes and then the LEGO® brick 1x1 with studs on 4 sides is a small and indispensable brick. as there are studs on 4 sides, you can therefore also build up different sides and that is of course necessary with a round shape or with making pillars.

The second technique is about making large "cables" for which Coconut Bricks Studios uses the adapted 2x2 brick with ball and the adapted brick 2x2 with ball hole. Because this joint is rigid, you can set it in any position and it will stay put.

In the technique of building walls, we see another handy little stone that makes for a great effect: the 1x1 stone with stud on one side. You could also use the slightly newer 1x2 stone with stud on one side for a bit more solidity in the wall.

Also, for a bit more strength in the wall, you could use the slightly newer 1x2 stone with stud on one side.

Then we move on to the large window. For this, he shows the 1x2x5 bricks in the example to build the wall from. If you want to cover larger areas, we would personally recommend the panels of 1x6x5.

We see pillars returning again in the 5th technique but this time they are square pillars and, as with various techniques above, we also see the 1x1 stone with stud on one side. We would, however, recommend using the top of the stone with a knob on the side. This prevents the slabs from shifting and keeps it straight. Or, of course, you should just need it for a dilapidated look.

At last, there is then the technique of creating a broken wall quite simply. All this by using a net of 10x10. to get this completely to your liking you might have to break up and down a bit more blurred but the result will certainly be beautiful.

Hope you got some more inspiration after watching the video and reading this article. Of course, we would like to thank Coconut Bricks Studios for sharing these techniques and invite you to check out Coconut Bricks Studios' Youtube channel where he does often show different building techniques that he also uses for his great Star Wars MOCs.
