Astrology remains immensely popular. Certainly so does Chinese astrology, which begins a new astrological sign shortly after the Western New Year; the Chinese New Year.
Chinese astrology assumes a 12-year cycle and is based on the lunar calendar. The 12 signs in the Chinese zodiac are: ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. People born under a sign are also said to adopt certain traits of that animal, according to Chinese wisdom.
Your Chinese horoscope is determined by the year you were born.
2019 is the year of the pig. The Pig is the zodiac sign of people born in 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007 and, of course, 2019. (Note that the Chinese year does not coincide with the Western calendar. Chinese New Year always begins in January or February )
In Chinese culture, the following character traits are attributed to people born in the year of the pig: tolerant and understanding, sensual, spirited, kind, sympathetic and truthful, fond of sociability and good food, gullible and naive.
LEGO® together with ToyPro celebrated this Chinese New Year with the LEGO® 40186 set "The Year of the Pig". You received this special set worth €9.99 as a gift if you placed an order for at least €79.99 worth of LEGO® sets, parts and/or minifigures.
