The tompouce is a delicious pastry that became quite a hype on social media some time ago. This was evident when we made a TikTok video with the LEGOpouce. This video has since been viewed more than 63 thousand times. We know that not all of you are on TikTok so herewith we share the build and the free instructions with you once more this way.
This tompouce was designed by us and consists of 70 parts. We chose a "luxury" version with whipped cream on top. Would you like to know which parts are in this tompouce? Tompouce in minifig format
If you want to make a LEGO® tompouce for your LEGO® minifigures, you can do so with just 3 separate parts. You start with a beige 1x2 tile, then a light yellow 1x2 tile and finally a bright pink 1x2 tile. Done is the minifigure-sized tompouce, enjoy!
About the tompouce
The tompouce, also known as the Dutch mille-feuille, is a delicious pastry that has its origins in French patisserie. However, this sweet treat has been given a uniquely Dutch twist and has become a popular treat on many occasions.
The tompouce consists of several layers of airy puff pastry, interspersed with a creamy filling of pastry cream. The top layer is covered with a sugar glaze, which is often pink or orange in colour. The typical pink glaze not only gives the tompouce a colourful appearance, but also adds to the unique taste experience.
What makes this delicacy extra special is the distinctive crunchy sound when you bite into it, followed by the soft combination of the layers of puff pastry and the creamy filling. The pastry cream adds a subtle sweetness, while the glaze on the top gives a sweet and crunchy texture.
