History revives with LEGO®: The train disaster of 1895

With LEGO® you can not only build beautiful creations, you can also bring special stories to life thanks to LEGO®. We recently saw this beautiful LEGO® MOC that portrays the train accident at Gare Montparnasse.

A steam train drove to Paris on October 22, 1895, but everything went completely wrong at the Montparnasse station. The train drove over the fender and the platform. The locomotive moved through the glass wall and landed on the lower Place de Rennes. 5 people were seriously injured and 1 were killed in the train disaster. As a result of the accident, fenders were improved in various stations.

Maybe you don’t know this story, but do you think the image is familiar? This is perhaps due to the film Hugo in which this scene also appears.

Designer Sebastian-Z built the iconic image of the train hanging from the station with LEGO®. You can view the amazing result below. Thanks to designers such as Sebastian, the past is not forgotten and we encourage everyone to make more of these creations.
