LEGO® Star Wars Episode 9 Expected September 2019

The LEGO® sets tied into “Star Wars Episode 9” are expected to be released in September 2019. This follows the announcement from Lucasfilm stating that the movie has been pushed back from May 2019 to December 2019.
The decision to delay the premiere of the last film in the new trilogy was prompted by Colin Trevorrow vacating the director’s seat. J.J. Abrams, who helmed “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” will be taking Trevorrow’s place.
Abrams is known for being meticulous and is expected to take his time with making the film. This could be the reason behind the delay, according to Bricks Are Awesome.
The rescheduled release of “Episode 9” means the premiere of all three films in the sequel trilogy was or will be in December of their respective release year. “The Force Awakens” was released in December 2015, while the upcoming “The Last Jedi” will be released this coming December.
Meanwhile, September is the release month for all the LEGO® sets attached to the films in the new trilogy.
