The perfect wave

Catch the perfect wave with this summer MOC we made ourselves. Because say it yourself, there's nothing better than being in the water with this summer weather. At least our surfer is enjoying it very much.
We made this structure with a technique inspired by a construction technique used for a large staircase, to make a nice curve in it. The bricks used for this were 1 x 2 plates and 1 x 1 round plates. After some experimenting with other stones to see what structure they would give, we came to the combination of 1 x 1 plates with the 1 x 2 round plates with open stud. This way you keep the solidity of the structure, so the curve stays put. And we found that the rounding felt just a bit smoother. And it looks like you get an even better wave.
By replacing one or more 1 x 1 plates with a 1 x 1 plate with a clip, you can use a Minifigure posing stand to place a minifigure on it, for example, or as we have also done a seagull to "fly". The wave is placed in a tray made on a base of four 6 x 10 plates. To keep the wave in place we placed a 1 x 2 stone with 2 studs on the left side. For the rest, we built around with 1 x 8 and 1 x 4 stones and finished with tiles. To further fill the tray we put 1 x 1 round plates lose in the tray. Once you have made the basis with the wave you can endlessly vary. As you can see in the pictures below.
