Hang LEGO® on the wall

Create little LEGO® works of art. Put them in a nice frame. And hang them on the wall. This is how you show everyone your hobby or love for lego. We came across this fun idea on social media and this is a great way to display your love for LEGO® in a special way. And it's pretty simple to make. All you need is a deep picture frame, LEGO® parts and a little imagination.

Art Houses

How to proceed

We found a picture frame in this example with an inside dimension of 14.5 cm wide, 19.5 cm high and about 3 cm deep. Especially the depth is an important point because this is the size for a baseplate. And 3 cm is about 4 studs. The 14.5 cm width is about the same as 18 studs. So we had a baseplate for our artwork of 4 x 18 studs. For our little scene, this was enough to make a facade of two houses with a sidewalk in front of it. There was also enough room to build a bit forward for the balconies and roofs of the houses. This way you create a nice 3d effect and do not keep a flat artwork. In this work of art we built in something extra. Namely, we used a lamppost with built-in LED lighting. This way you can also enjoy your own artwork at night. The lamp post is available at ToyPro in different types and colors. Take a look at our special loose lighting parts page. There you will find many more loose lights to illuminate your LEGO® artwork.

More examples

And of course we created some more examples because the possibilities are of course endless. How about the LEGO® Star Wars Scene below. Here we have used LED lightsabers. An ideal gift for a true Star Wars fan.

Art SW

Is anyone or are you yourself a cat fan then the LEGO® artwork below is of course ideal. The parts used for this can be found and ordered here.

Art Cats

We have also thought of the children's room. Or for the Disney fan this is of course also a very nice frame. If you would like to order the LEGO® parts for this frame look here.

So let your imagination run wild and get creative. We're sure these works of art will look great on your wall.
