Does the LEGO® 42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey have faulty parts?

As you have probably already know, LEGO® has cancelled the new Technic set 42113 Bel Boeing V-22 Osprey. Fortunately, you can build this building set yourself with the LEGO® 42113 building instructions that you can find on our website. It seems that not all parts can withstand heavy use.
We came across this topic on Reddit where a user is complaining about broken parts and a design flaw in the LEGO® 42113. He posted the following image showing the difference between the damaged and undamaged part.
It concerns the LEGO® 10928 Gear 8 Tooth Type 2. In the comments you can read that more people suffer from the same problem. The real Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey has also had many design problems and the LEGO® variant is therefore perhaps an even better model than LEGO® had planned.
