Review: DREAMZzz Pegasus the Flying Horse 71457

The Nightmare King has sent his grim helpers to capture dreamers! Susan has captured Nova and is taking her back to her master on Pegasus, the flying horse, but Zoey is determined to pursue them. Help Zoey save her friend by creating a bird assistant for her in her dreams, or give her butterfly wings so she can chase the nightmares herself!
To build Pegasus, a nightmare creature and a bird figure or wings for Zoey, we need a total of 5 bags of LEGO® parts. In the box, the wings for Pegasus are added separately. A small sticker sheet is included.
From the first bag, we build Nova and Susan. We also build the throne with wings of the nightmare king and the scary nightmare creature that captures Nova to take her to the nightmare king.
From the second bag comes the Nightmare King and we build the first part of Pegasus. These are the horse's torso and neck. This uses the SNOT (Studs Not On Top) technique to make the horse look sleek. And also so, you can see as few studs sticking out as possible.
In the third pocket, we find the head and front legs. The hinges used to attach the legs to the torso are very sturdy. This allows you to position the legs nicely. And the horse will stay upright nicely. This step also includes some decals that give extra detail to the horse's legs and chest.
Of course, the horse still needs hind legs and a tail. Again, decals are used for extra detail. The nightmare king's flying throne can also be placed on Pegasus, allowing Pegasus to fly. This does make him completely taken over by the nightmares.
Bird or butterfly
Now that the nightmare king has taken Nova and pulled Pegasus into the nightmare, it's high time for Zoey to come out of the fifth pocket and save Nova! But how are you going to make sure Nova can be saved. Do you build a Bird on which Zoey can fly. Or do you make butterfly wings that Zoey can fly on her own? We chose the bird. This also includes the final stickers for the eyes.
The minifigures
Nova is wearing pyjamas with sloth print and blue trousers. Her head has a sleeping face on one side and a waking smiling face on the other. Zoey has printed dark pearl grey trousers and a dark blue bodysuit printed on two sides. She also wears a cape around her neck and has a smiling or grinning face. Susan has wings on the back which unfortunately prevents this figure from standing. Susan further wears a flame headgear with loose horns and has a printed small body. The Nightmare King has printed white legs and a double-sided printed body. The little head also has a double print. The black cape and crown complete the Nightmare King.
Conclusion
This set looks great and is one of the two sets that includes the Nightmare King. What is unfortunate is that the throne is not very firmly attached to Pegasus' back so it falls off quickly. Susan's minifigure has too much on its back which prevents it from standing. Pegasus itself can stand well thanks to the hinges used
Which episode is Pegasus in?
In the Series, we unfortunately do not see Pegasus yet but in the third episode we can see Nova being chased by Susan due to her insomnia.
