Build a lego beach with moving water

Do you feel like lying on the beach or swimming in the sea again? We love to sunbathe with the soothing sound of the sea. Grant Davis is apparently also a fan of the beach because he spent two years creating a beach scene with moving and undulating water. Check out his video to see how fantastic and realistic it looks.

When Grant started this project, he did not know much about LEGO® Technic, but in the meantime he has become a real expert. The ingenious system he came up with ensures that the waves roll down to the beach true to life and that the water also retreats when a new wave arrives. The "sand" also seems to get wet by the water through the clever use of different colours of LEGO® stones. The water can easily move by using a LEGO® net, which allows it to move very naturally. In this construction, Grant has chosen to place a few trees along the beach and to build a beautifully designed lighthouse. And what are you going to make of it? A similar scene or are you going to make it a busy beach? In the video you can also see that your minifigures can surf or sail on the waves, so you could also make a nice shipwreck scene.
