LEGO® and art are an excellent combination. And LEGO® is a great way to keep history alive. All this inspired Jaap Bijl to create the LEGO® artwork Einstein's ‘One great mistake’. Read more about this beautiful creation in this article.

Jaap Bijl got the inspiration for Einstein's One great mistake from this article on Business Insider. It describes how Albert Einstein in 1939 urged US President Roosevelt to develop an atomic bomb through a letter. Einstein thought that Nazi Germany was developing its own atomic bomb and thought it would be crucial that the United States should have an atomic bomb before Germany.

After the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and after it turned out that Germany had never been close to developing an atomic bomb, Einstein had regretted his letter. He called the letter his ‘One great mistake in my life.’

Einstein's ‘One great mistake’ is Jaap Bijl's 7th iron build for which he used LEGO® flower parts in many different places.
