LEGO® Tape

You may have seen it on the web or on youtube, but we thought it was such a great idea that we wanted to share it. Imagine you are building something and you think to yourself, that would look great there. Unfortunately there are only so many surfaces that are fit for LEGO®. Nimuno has found a solution: Nimuno Loops. It’s basically a rubber LEGO® tape that lets you stick your bricks on any surface. Because of clever design and material use the possibilities are endless. The tape is flexible, you can cut it in any size, you can reuse it and it sticks to pretty much any surface.
The Nimuno Loops are the brainchild of two South-African designers, Anine Kirsten and Max Basler. They have been working on the tape for quite some time. After a year they had a working prototype, but they still lacked the money to get the tape manufactured, packaged and to make it available. That’s why they started a crowdfunding campaign. They hoped to raise $ 8000 to make the tape a reality. Now, after less than a week the campaign has raised more than a million dollars. So I guess you could say that the campaign was a succes.
