The Ice Emperor is the ruler of the Never-Realm. When Zane was banished and sent into the past by Aspheera, he lost his memory and met general Vex. Vex then manipulated him into becoming the Ice emperor, and he turned the Never-Realm into an eternally frozen land. Vex later also convinced send the Blizzard Samurai to attack the formlings, the ice fishers and the other ninjas, who had come looking for their lost comrade. In the end Zane got his memory back and broke the curse, defeating Vex and freeing everyone in the Never-Realm.
