Rocket is an alien and part of a team known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. Beside Racket The Guardians also includes Star-Lord, Gamora, Groot, and Drax. Groot is Rocket Raccoons best friend.
Rocket is the product of illegal experiments on animals (in his case, obviously on a raccoon). His creators, "89P13", gave him his name: Rocket Raccoon propably because of his interest for advanced weaponry.
