Have you tried building in micro scale? You haven't yet? Then take a look at the buildings of MOC_MATE and you will surely be inspired to build such a structure with LEGO®. In any case, we continue to find it fascinating how much detail can be created in such small structures.
Building on a micro scale is actually the art of leaving things out. Because you have to preserve as much detail as possible with as few stones as possible. If you are building an existing building in miniature, you could start off larger and then make the structure smaller and smaller by omitting things or using other smaller blocks. But always try to keep the original shape. You can do the same for a tree in your own building and go from "normal" LEGO® tree to a very small tree.

To make windows in your buildings, you can make clever use of the slots and grooves that can already be found in LEGO® blocks. Or use LEGO® Technic bricks as windows. Just like MOC_MATE you can also use a Plate Modified 1 x 1 with Tooth Horizontal (49668) on its side. So the bottom of this block looks like a pointed window.

Don't forget to look at LEGO® parts in a different way. For example, a LEGO® Technic gear can suddenly be used to make a nice edge to a roof or wands still attached to each other can make a prue and fence or pillar. Once you have mastered the art of leaving out and looking at LEGO® parts differently, the only limitation is your own imagination. Because the possibilities are endless.
