Build a LEGO® tree

Build a LEGO® tree

Anyone can build a tree from LEGO®, I hear you say. Well, it's not that easy. Especially if you never made a tree before. First you have to think about the scale of the tree, what kind of tree it will be or what purpose it will have for you. It can be just a single tree like LEGO® has released a Bonsai tree. But it can also be a tree for your LEGO® City or as an addition to your MOC. To have a look at what's possible we have looked up some examples and sources of inspiration for you. First of all we would like to show you the most beautiful tree we could find (at least, we think it's the most beautiful we could find) and that is one of LEGO® MOC builder Lego_fan_uy.

This is a nice big solid tree with a trunk that is built on a round 8 x 8 base plate. This tree consists of 22 different parts and a total of 183 LEGO® bricks. making it a very nice full tree. Do you want to see which parts are used for this tree or do you want to order the parts? Here you can see the parts-list of this MOC. And below you can download the building instructions.

Furthermore, we have put together a few tutorial videos with different ideas for more trees in different sizes. In the first video below, you can see how Ethan the Artisan makes six different trees, such as a pine tree and a palm tree.

In the next film, MB Bricks shows you how to make a large tree. You can also adjust the branches of this tree by using a hinge.

Trees can also be made of parts of which you wouldn't think you could make a tree. CK Brick Collection for instance has made winter pine trees with the 15208 - Plate, Adjusted 1 x 2 with 3 teeth. See how he did it:

By using different colours of the leaves, you can also make a difference in the seasons. Just look at all the leaves we have. Hopefully you got some nice ideas and you can create a great looking tree for your building or LEGO® town.

We would like to thank Lego_fan_uy, Ethan the Artisan, MB Bricks and CK Brick Collection for sharing their great ideas and make sure to check out the instagram of Lego_fan_uy, or the Youtube channels of Ethan the Artisan, MB Bricks and CK Brick Collection, for even more great Lego ideas.
