If you use 3rd party lights on USB for your LEGO models, then you know how it works! It takes a separate power supply to make those lights shine. Be it another battery or a wall outlet. It takes up precious space and weight in your models, plus you need another set of batteries. Not anymore!
With our USB cable, you can easily power any USB-hungry lights/devices in your models via a familiar LEGO Power Functions Battery Box or LEGO Powered Up Hub!
Plug & Play
PV-Productions has developed a compact and powerful USB Socket Cable that is 100% compatible with many LEGO power systems. No electronics knowledge is required and our USB Socket Cable ensures that power is converted as efficiently and optimally as possible. Installation is quickly done by connecting the power connector to the compatible LEGO power system and plugging your USB light/device into the fully functioning female USB-A socket at the other end. After connecting, you can turn the USB power on and off via the physical controller or app. Great to use on models that already have a LEGO battery box/hub installed or if you don't want to mess with other power supplies.
Does your lighting/device have a male USB-A plug on one end? Great, then it will work! Save space, weight, time and stress because you no longer need dual batteries.
Compatibility and use
.Please note that the USB Socket Cable only provides power and no data exchange is possible via this cable!
The top and bottom of the power connector is connected to the LEGO Power Functions System. Connect the USB Socket Cable to a LEGO PF Battery Box or LEGO PF IR Receiver to provide power to the USB-A socket. Keep in mind that you must power the USB Socket Cable in the same way as a regular LEGO motor. For example, see the LEGO Power Functions Battery Box 8881 and 88000. When connected, you can turn the power on and off, just like you turn a motor clockwise or counterclockwise.
