The LEGO® Ideas JAWS set, a buildable diorama celebrating the infamous 1975 blockbuster film "JAWS," from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. The LEGO Ideas JAWS set is an accurately designed recreation of one of the film's most famous scenes, allowing fans to relive the excitement and thrill of Spielberg's masterpiece in LEGO form.

To celebrate the launch, the LEGO Group, in partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, has created the first summer "brick-buster" mini-movie, "JAWS...in a Jiffy." This playful retelling of the iconic summer movie lasts just 90 seconds and features all the favorite scenes, with a surprise minifigure reveal at the end from award-winning director Steven Spielberg behind the bang.
Originally conceived by LEGO fan Johnny Campbell through the LEGO Ideas community platform, the 1497-piece set captures key elements and characters from the film in LEGO minifigure form - including police chief Martin Brody, marine biologist Matt Hooper and sailor Sam Quint. The set also includes the iconic Orca boat, featuring a detailed cabin with removable roof, adjustable boom and rigging, plus numerous recognizable accessories such as a revolver, compass, fishing rod, harpoon, spear and the yellow barrels that were crucial to the film's storyline.
The set can be placed on a buildable sea water base with the JAWS LEGO shark model attacking the Orca boat. Also added to the base is a printed tile with Chief Brody's famous quote ("You're gonna need a bigger boat") to complete this nostalgic and playful centerpiece. Alternatively, the shark can be displayed separately from the boat on its own stand.
About his approach to the design for the set, fan designer Johnny Campbell says, "JAWS is my favorite movie of all time, so I really wanted to recreate it in LEGO bricks. Building LEGO has always been a part of my life, but to get all the fine details, I paused JAWS while I watched so I could glimpse the details and take notes. It's just incredible that my design is now an official LEGO set. I can't wait to stand in a LEGO store, look at the shelves and see a set I worked on, and see someone buy it. It's every LEGO fan's dream!"
