The Piranha plant is a plant that appears in the world of Super Mario. They often come from warp pipes, but also occur on their own. Their leader is Petey Piranha. Piranha plants normally lie quietly sleeping until Mario or Luigi get too close, then they wake up and start biting around themselves. There are also Piranha plants that can shoot fireballs. So watch out for them or it's game over.
