We have found another great alternate build for you. It's the Awesome Ferrari Daytona SP3 built from the parts of the LEGO® Technic Ferrari 488 GTE (42125). This alternate build is made by Paave's LEGO Art and shows in the video how to build it as he added the full instructions.

This alternate build has a lot of moving functions like doors that open and close. Also the boot and bonnet can be opened and closed. Paave also managed to build in working independent suspension and also the steering is fully functional. We would like to thank Paave for his instructions to recreate this iconic car and invite you to take a look at Paave's LEGO Art YouTube channel where he shows us many more great LEGO® Technic vehicles.

Ferrari Daytona SP3

The Daytona SP3 is based on the LaFerrari. The Daytona SP3 is the third model in the highly exclusive Icona Series, reserved for the brand's most loyal customers. The Icona Series was launched in 2018 with the Monza SP1 and SP2 that were inspired by Ferrari's Barchetta models from the 1950s. That aspect is what characterises the Icona models, as according to chief designer Flavio Manzoni, they are not the top models where power and performance are paramount, like the LaFerrari, for example. Interestingly, however, that model was the basis for the new Daytona SP3. Both the carbon fibre chassis and powertrain were adopted, but not without first making some technical improvements and a significant change.

LEGO® Iconic cars and the Speed Champions series.

LEGO® has of course already released several Iconic LEGO® Technic models such as the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 (42115) and the Bugatti Chiron (42083). But also in the Speed Champions Series you can find a lot of great and iconic cars. Want to see even more alternative car instructions?
